Week 26 ​in Review

This past Tuesday, Mrs. Hutton graciously took over for my loss of voice, it would've been challenging indeed for me to teach you chemistry through gestures and pantomime! 
You all should have enjoyed a great test review with Mrs. Hutton and Kahoot! Hopefully, also watched the screencast covering Chapter 16, Part 1. If you did not pay much attention to the screencast in Tuesday's class, please take the time to watch it (linked right) and take lots of notes, as you will have a quiz on Tuesday covering that very material.

Upcoming Week 27

This week we will be continuing through Chapter 16 - Covalent Bonding. In the event you struggle with the content from the class, please feel free to watch the Chapter 16 screencasts linked right. I made these last year because students were struggling with the content back then. For your review, the chapter is broken down as follows:
  • Section 16.1: The Nature of Covalent Bonding
  • Section 16.2: Bonding Theories
  • Section 16.3: Polar Bonds and Molecules
I anticipate this chapter will require only two weeks to complete. Following this chapter you will have an exam covering chapters 13, 14, 15, and 16. I anticipate we will complete Chapter 16 on Tuesday, April 9th, so you will have the exam due on Tuesday, April 16th - one week later. I will send the exam to your folks this Tuesday afternoon.

So that  you are properly prepared for classes next week, please make sure you do the following by:
Tuesday, April 9th:
  1. Come to class prepared to take lots of notes!
  2. Be prepared to take Quiz #27 covering material from the Section 16.1, Part 1 screencast (linked at right).
